Get used to it. Insurance is about hosing people not helping people.

We had 3 small claims over a two year period and they started charging us $22.00 a month for a year. AH, so why do I have insurance again??

Now that many states define how much you pay based on your credit as well, they are rolling in the money.

yeah so I got a quick online qoute through gieco. For bare minimum on my 318is, it would be $35 a month. Shot a email to my farmers agent seeing what he can do to match or else i'm switching. Its a shame since I've been with Farmers for 10+ years.

      Yeah I pay monthly.

Once you've had a claim, you're statistically much more likely to have more claims.

Which you did, so the actuaries changed your rates accordingly.

          Yeah I pay monthly.

Did you report your claim to Geico to include in that qoute?

You also need to compare your options. Full/limited tort, medical, underinsured/uninsured, stacked/unstacked etc... all play more of a roll in your rate then what most people think.

Maybe your rate with Farmers could be $35 if they matched the policy details.

Do you even know what coverage you have on all of those options? That's where most people go wrong. They'll sign up with a company who can give great prices.... with practically no coverage. Then you get hit by an uninsured driver and get fucked.

Everyone saying "oh my insurance is $50 through Progressive, it was $75 through All State, fuck them!" is just wasting air. There are so many variables, and most people don't know what they are wasting their money on.
