In fact it happens so much here I've been wanting to keep a video camera in my car so when it happens I can send it into the Police station and criticize the retards for WTF they think they are doing.
Then they cry someone killed a cop because the cops car was half way in the fucking road.
    It goes both ways.
Cops don't pull DIRECTLY behind a vehicle for a reason, officer AND driver safety. Blocking the lane of traffic, and staggering their vehicle, leaves a "safe zone" so to speak for the officer while conducting the traffic stop. It also is a safety issue for the driver, should they be asked to step outside of the vehicle.

Please, get your video camera out and record these officers doing what their trained to do.

      Where's that Captain obvious pic...

Read the thread before you stick your opinion in here.
There's difference between parking outside of the vehicle pulled over and parking at a 30* angle.

I'm a fucking retard for posting a comment now eh?

No where did you post a 30* angle.. I quoted your text in case you feel the need to reread your post.

Sounds like you have a hard on against cops, so just keep driving around with your video camera and send your proof to the police station that all their cops are retards!

In NY, I would acknowledge the Officer's presence with a wave and hazards, then pull in somewhere safe for him AND for me. Like a gas station or convenient store parking lot. In Germany, they pull in front of YOU, a sign on the top of their car flashes 'Bitte Folgen', or 'please follow'. Then they stop you where they want you to stop.

And OP, your sig is dead-on. When you're in the middle, you get screwed.

As much as you think that might be a good thing, the cops around here actually get upset at you when you do that. I was pulled over once and I turned a corner off a highway onto a neighborhood street, and the cop was pissed when he walked up to the car. I only drove maybe 30 feet from the point that his lights came on. A few of my friends have also had this happen to them.

i've been arrested for evading. I was being followed by a cop for about 4 miles(right on my ass too) while I was on a highway with 3-4 foot shoulders, I also turned my blinkers on and waited till the next exit which was maybe a half mile down the road. As soon as we get to it he nails it around me and cuts me off, gets out, proceeds to yell at me for 20 minutes about how stupid I am for trying to run for him. spent a couple hours in a drunk tank, and a friend bailed me out. took it to court and he didn't show.

I was just trying protect him too

                  ^ lol.

drivers are horrible about this in maryland. i always move a lane over if cops are on the side of the road. even if it isnt law here, as said before, its just common courtesy.

now if we could instill the whole "slower traffic move right" idea as common courtesy.. man i'd be one happy panda.

Yep I had a similar thing happen. I kept driving till I felt it safe FOR THE COP before I pulled over.

A friend of mine got pulled for that. It was kind of BS. I was with him, and there was no way for him to get over. And while the cop was talking to us countless cars passed without getting over...

This law actually (arguably) makes it less safe for drivers.

Never been an issue for me, and I see people doing it all the time. I also throw them a wave to let them know that I'm aware they're stopping me, so they don't think I'm trying to ditch them or something.
