I got rid of about 1000 records when I quit dj'ng back in 1993/4, I still have all my vinly that I could not part with. just sitting in the hall closet taking up space, cool stuff like DEVO and Cramps picture disc, Sisters of mercy and the dead kennedy

What "DJ turntable" do you have? What is it that you don't like? Do you want something automatic? Wanna change the sound?

Its a Numark TT100. The tone arm just feels really cheap on it. And it kind of wiggles back and forth as it goes. I tried adjusting the weights on it but it still of kind of odd. I was looking for something a little nicer sound to it. I know the cartridge and needle has a lot to do with it (Schure M44-7) but this table just feels cheap to me. Any suggestions for listening?

Still geared towards DJing though. No doubt its a nice table. Its what all the pros use. But I think it is a bit over kill for me. My friend is into DJing and he wants to get some. How is a 1200 for sound quality? I know it has torque like no other, but that doesn't really mean anything to me.
