no, but how about this humdinger:

The bill, which passed on a vote of 220–211, eliminates a student loan program that relies on private financial institutions, and switches to direct government lending.

Student loans will become nationalized in other words. They'll create the likes of a new Fannie Mae and/or Freddie Mac for this shit. The bottom will fall out and then we can bail them out all over again...

first the bat shit ass patriot act, then closing gitmo, now the government all in my shit in regards to health/education.

I love how Cali, Ill, an NY lead the way on passing this. Last time I checked they all were flat broke and about to go bankrupt. I am not overly concerned about this bill or the next one to make citizen of all the illegals. I do not think it will be long before the Chinese issued Visa card runs dry. Things will get very interesting then we all will get a bit of a German history lesson on the Wiemar Republic and what truly lead to Hitlers rise.

I'm just so P.O.'d about this whole state-of-affairs. It's been awhile since I read Animal Farm, but in retrospect, Pigs fits.

Right out of the Declaration. Its too bad we are all a bunch of pansies now and dont have the guts to stand up to this shit. I doubt out forefathers would have. They went to war over taxes on some tea lol.

Not good. Hasn't been good for quite some time though. Agreed on the education point. Worrying about healthcare and bailouts when 'education' was so important. Furlough days. Selling off copiers and laminaters and other stuff happening.

Dont assume everyone doesnt want this. Im all for it. When and if things go wrong they can be changed. But to say it shouldnt be done just for the sake of fear of the unknown is plain dumb. To say it shouldnt be done becuase it will fail is dumb. All societes have risen and fallen from greatness. Doom and gloom are easy to predict, success not so much. I can guarantee you your car will break down and be worthless one day but you still bought it and drive it becuase of the value it brings to you in the meantime. lets hope this works and remove it if it doesnt. Fear of change will always stop progress. Take a chance and if you still dont like what you see, vote. This bill is a direct consequence of voting. If theres anyone to blame, blame Bush. Becuase of him the people who are in office, are in office.
