I just looked at my ticket and it said that my 04 r6 is red, There is not a drop of red on my bike. My tail light isn't even red. the guy I rode with had a red bike though. Is this a good argument in the courtroom? A friend of mine had a ticket dismissed because the trooper accidentally put the wrong make of car on the ticket.

ask a bunch of questions that show the officer can't remember stuff. if he can't remember the basic facts then how can he prove his case? i believe you can "impeach" the witness (the officer) if he has proven himself "incompetent". In virginia a ticket isn't a witness, so without one they can't prove anything against you. You might want photos with the VIN to prove yourself though.

You are lucky. Had a buddy on an R1 get pulled over for doing close to 90 on a city street. He was arrested on the spot, bike impounded, points on his license, lawyer fee's, and on and on...

I watch COPS and quite often they are travelling forward and clock a guy coming towards them and they have a digital readout of the speed. So it is possible and often commonplace.

Something to think about, most cops pull people over with a general idea that you were speeding be it from a radar gun or just that you were traveling faster then everyone else. The first thing they ask you is "do you know how fast you were going?" Or something along the lines of that. You say anything over the speed limit and you've just admitted guilt. You're done.

Nope. Thats all I ever do. Been pulled over 16 times, never had a speeding ticket. Only 1 moving violation the very FIRST time I got pulled over, did traffic school and that was that. Aside from 5 fixit tickets, Im clean. Dont bullshit an officer. You lie, you get fucked. You tell the truth, you have a smaller chance of getting fucked.

Socal is brutal as hell. Cops are human too so if they're feeling shitty you WILL definitely get a ticket. Best you can hope for is to get lucky if you get caught doing something stupid or pony up and get a V1 and even then its not a license to screw around on the roads.
