    Merc pwn the German "sleeper" (or more appropriately titled "Q Ship") class.

    300 SEL 6.3 started it in the '60s before the 500E kicked it off again in the 90s.

    This - I remember reading about them when I was a kid. This is the definitional of a sleeper. Bad picture - they are quite attractive actually. It's like a 175 MPH 4 door that still looks modern. What the hell more could you want (except a BMW maybe?)

    Man I really love this car, my buddy had one just sitting in his back yard for the longest time when I was around 14-15. I always sat in it and changed the gears like I was speed racer. Never knew then that it had this kind of power. I think the styling is slick too.
