Nah well most people have sensitive skin they just dont realize it. I use Colonel Conk's shave soap and a variety of straight razors.

If I want a good shave, I'll use some form of shaving cream (think I have some kind of Gillette stuff right now). If I'm in a hurry or just don't care, cold water works fine. Usually it's the latter. I use a Gillette Fusion razor with 5 blades. Works well enough.

I'm lucky though having blonde hair as I can go every other day without shaving, where as if I had darker hair, it would have to be everyday.

Using Williams shaving soap is by far the smoothest shave I've ever had.



Also, I shave with the grain, then across the grain. Provides against the grain closeness without the razor burn.

My skin isn't sensitive at all & can take a beating w/o leaving making marks, so I usually don't use anything at all if it's short enough.
And I've found out that girl shaving cream > men's shaving cream, without a doubt..

I think my situation is unique. I can't get a clean shave without going against the grain. If hair isn't long enough, I cut my face up really badly. The solution is only shaving once a week. Thank God I don't have to be clean shaven for work. I use warm water, bar soap and Gillette twin-blade with the comfort strip, a new one for each shave. I don't need anything else to get a clean shave as long as my hair is long enough...
