    That's crazy, but i think it needs more carbon fiber. haha, but seriously, that thing must be so light. world record attempt for shortest take off?

        I would not fly in that LS powered thing, auto engine conversions have the worst reliability record in aircraft. It's not normally the motor that is so poor, it's the gear reduction drive needed to get the HP out of them with a reasonably low prop RPM.

                Possibly this thing? The Stol CH701....small, lightweight plane that needs very little room for take off & landing. I love how it just floats.

                  Thats what so amazing about the Merlin and the Wasps (esp the R4360) Compared to the size of the engine, they don't really put out that much horsepower. Then you realize how slow they turned and had 6:1 compression ratios.
