I run for the Canadian national team for Track and Field and EVERYONE has these shoes. They all train in them and claim that it helps them feel the track better.

meh. I have yet to fall into the trend.. I stick with my Asics.

Some guy at my gym has those, thought they were pretty gay then he started clean and jerking about 3 times as much as I could (we have the same body type) so then I decided to leave him alone.

lol, they are like the speedo's (not sure what you call them in US, swimming attire that should never be worn by any man) of the shoe world, just reveal too much.

The climbing gym i used to help out at had these for sale, They were also a CrossFit gym.
all the crossfit folks liked them for running. they all claimed much stronger feet and legs.
I like going barefoot as much as possible, so these seem like an idea.

i wouldnt mind trying a pair.

i do not recommend trying to climb in them though. depending on the nature of the climb, you'll want more support going to the big toe area.. these wouldnt allow that. you also sometimes want a nice stiff "rand" with which to get a good solid edge on a small foot hold and put all your weight on it using the whole foot. which climbing shoes are good for.

for novelty/ easy climbing, they could be fun.

I think they are kinda strange looking, I knew a guy that always wore them and claimed they helped him for running. Sounds kinda like everyone else.

These shoes are ugly as sin.

They would, however, probably serve as an excellent icebreaker at a gay bar.

they padding seems really minimal, unless you're on dirt or rubber track i'd imagine they'd give you shin splints pretty quickly.

                          any info on that?

My friend has them and being a first hand witness they suck outside in the dirt. Granted everyone seems to rave about there performance on the track or in the gym, but get them out in the environment and you'll pick up rocks, sticks, and misc. other shit. I wouldn't buy them

The guy I knew said that he was afraid of this, but had forgot his running shoes at home (we are in college) and so he had been running on concrete with them and said after two days he felt stronger and just fine.

How do you think people ran in the old days? with pillows?
