ya the placebo effect is nice. Though for BSN Products, from what ive read on the lawsuits, your paying 34 bucks for a placebo
haha i tried to read my own post and it gave me a headache. BSN did have some troubles with their noxplode and cellmass. they had to change their "proprietary blend" because it wasnt what they said it was.
BSN does have really tasty protein tho

Nuts.. legal steroids!! LOL. Taking something that you don't even know what it is WTF. If they aren't selling it anymore it was probably killing people.

I took BSN's nictric oxide along with their creatine. Not close to being anything that amazing. I've been back at the gym just lifting without supplements and I am making gains even faster but now I eat cleaner and work harder. If you want something that was nuts, look for the old Activate Extreme.

When I was younger, HS/college, I tried a variety of legal supplements.

None really had a huge effect other than making me sick.

All I’ve been doing the last 7~9 yrs is diet with a focus on increased protein. I’ve gotten the best mass/strength gains buy eating big, lotsa chicken. The guys at work think I’m trying to single handedly decimate the chicken population. Snail gave some good rule of thumb numbers for protein/carb intake.

Its not going to come fast (assuming your natural), it’s a marathon not a sprint, but if you stick with it you’ll be a beast.

If you want to be a beast today, go talk to the biggest freak in the gym you can find, the guy rep’n 405 on his light day. Ask him where he buys his stuff, bring lotsa cash and get huge.

my brother takes that and likes it.

it all depends on what u wanna take.

you can take creatine with it no prob...my recommendation is take that jacked stuff and some creatine mono. take 10g of creatine a day for a week, splitting 5g into two doses per day. once in the morning and once after workout. then 5g a day every day from there on out, for about a month. take a month off, then repeat.

                      remember tho...diet is key.

I think I need to get on some mega-protein diet and supplements, plus carbs because I am not seeing very much weight gain despite the amount of lifting I do. Like several of the guys on here I have a fast metabolism and I think just eating a shit ton is not working :(

Just eat healthy and you won't be fucking with so many things in your body, and you won't look like a water inflated balloon of weak muscle. BSN shit is packed with caffeine anyways.

I'm serious though, eating tons of food is much healthier and probably cheaper ;)

^This^ Supplements are a waste of money for the most part. I did like the pumped up feeling I got from taking L-argenine before a work out though. Eat right and take a good multivitamin then worry about your BCAA's, nitric oxide, creatine etc. etc. I'm serious about the multivitamin though working out saps your body of minerals and nutrients and will lower your immmune system's strength.

Caffeine, as I read in "Runner's Digest" recently, helps quite a bit during workouts. And despite the hype, it doesn't really dehydrate you as it's primarily flavored water. Runner's Digest (Stanford University study IIRC) said 2-5 cups of Coffee an hour before a work out can help you push harder and thus see more gains and production from your muscles. Also, it helps to block some of the "pain" during a work out session.

Having said that, eat right and stick to a regular (3-5 times weekly) work out routine. The pill garbage is ridiculous. Live within your body type. Not everyone is Lou Forigno and shouldn't really try to be. It's not about getting to your ideal weight or muscle index in 2 months. It'll take about a year of constant, regular and diligent eating/working out. That's if you want to do it right and actually be healthy, not just a bloated whale of "muscle" that struts around looking tough.
                                Need a part? PM me.
