How so? I've been on a number of their data plans, they're fine and actually pretty cheap.

Got the moment right now, this Evo is tempting..

    Premier-plan user too..no upgrade window or fees...damn.

Details? I read what I saw of the premier deals and didn't notice this. It seems to just be a straight upgrade on the EVO... 2 year contract.

I bought the EVO last Friday. I love it. I came from an iphone and ATT and it is WORLDS better. It definitely feels bigger in your hand, but I can't tell a difference when it is in my pocket. The screen is a thing of beauty, the camera is pretty good, and it is WAY faster than my iphone was. No more waiting 5 seconds every time you click on messages or phone or something like that. There is 4G coverage where I live too, so it is nice. Much faster than 3G.

That's why I haven't pulled the trigger yet.. I want the phone, but that's a lot of freaking money a month to have them

or you root the phone and do it for free

Got mine on Friday as well. Love it! The size is great for me. I think any bigger, and it would be too much, though.

My only concern is battery life. Seems I am getting at least 8 hours out of a charge, though.

So iPhone 4... I don't see anything special. Front and Rear camera? "FaceTime"? roflmao

I foresee some complaints on how it looks... where are the sleek rounded corners? It looks like crap in the terms of "Apple" compared to the 3Gs. Looks like a rectangle they rounded the corners on.
960x480 screen. 331ppi... human eye can only detect up to 300ppi. Sharpest HD screen on the market.

I just read an article in some computer magazine stating that AT&T has the the fastest of the 3G networks, on average, in the country.

Unfortunately, as more and more smartphones have been purchased, I've steadily noticed the decline in 3G speeds since I got my iPhone 3G almost two years ago.

That is quite possible... but I find it hard to believe. I have yet to see an AT&T phone beat my Sprint in terms of DATA speed. Most of the time the local guys aren't even on 3G while I am. Fast is fine... if you are connected to it. AT&T admits and knows they have a problem...

That is awesome. I love watching HD stuff on a 3.5 inch screen...

Im on the waiting list fuck yeah! I havent gotten a new phone in 4 years, so when I saw this, I knew it was time for an upgrade. I checked out the phone on friday, beautiful screen, camera is amazing (8 megapixels) and its actually pretty user friendly.
edit: 4G network is supposed to be functional in socal in december, according to one of the guys at the Sprint store, so paying the $10 a month is to pay for the development of the 4g network that will eventually be up and running. So you will benefit, you just have to be patient.

                      Interesting.

Once the phones get back in stock I need to go in and do a side-by-side test with pulling up R3V from google or something simultaneously on both phones.

The girlfriend and I ditching our iPhones and her getting on my plan so she has access to my company discount means we can the EVO 4G with all the stuff we have now (plan wise) and save ~$90-100 month.

Yah. I just have not ever had a problem with Sprint data. I would never switch to AT&T... ever. "Hey our network can't support all these iPhones so it is going to be a little more expensive to use the data... we gotta pay for this upgrade somehow."

I would rather get the iPhone 4.

I'll stick with my pre for sprint though. The Evo looks huge, and while I'm sure it's great I don't need a second computer...

I got it on Friday when it came out, its a really good phone. Battery is meh tho, leaves some to be desired. Accepts wav and mp3 files, and my mpeg4 movies look great. The internet is fast on it. Lots of cool free apps on android. Im impressed. The 8 megapixel camera is nice, takes video really well. Have not seen the second webcam on the front work yet.

The first couple of charges really disappointed me. But since then the battery has actually performed better.

anyone else notice apple fanbois need to step into every phone thread and shit on them?

as for the screen size, its actually sick, a big screen without actually the phone being much larger than other phones, its really hard to go back to old phones once you use it.
