I also approve a CTS-V. As long as you can get over it's a granny cadillac (which you also stated your getting old anyways, lol, sorry dude), then's it's a solid car.
dont know of too many Granny Caddys with a 400hp+ LSx and 3 pedal gear boxes????

Experience. It is a very fun and loud car, I give it that, but the fit and finish was so horrible even for a Cadillac. the interior bits were rattly and falling apart, the handbrake didn't work (although it was probably the owner's fault), and the outside body moldings were falling off and fit like a 200 dollar ebay kit. I didn't own this car but the miles were low so I see no reason for any of it to happen on the car.

              Hmmm, interesting.

All the owners of cadillac's I've talked to seem to love them, and that's a few CTS-V owners too.

              Sold.......again.

Good to know on the Caddy, although I don't know if it's a serious contender.

As to the new gen Evo/STi, I could afford one, I just don't feel comfortable spending that much on a vehicle.

From what I gather, the 350Z is about .5-.7 faster stock through the 1/4 than an E36 and jus t a tick slower than an E46. I've driven an E46 M3, 350Z has more midrange and bottom end, E46 has more top end charge.

Aside from the fact that in the first post I said I didn't want a BMW, but this is R3V, land of the uneducated masses.

                  an 84 911SC.
they can be had for decent $. super reliable when they have been kept up on the maintainence. lots of used parts available unless you get into things like fuel distributors and the fuel pumps, the CIS is pretty much bullet proof.

if it is in your budget, go for a 85 and up carerra. that is the year break where the prices take a little jump. the A/C also works better in them too. parts are still plentiful used for them too.

just look for the cleanest best maintained one you can find.

That is awesome mate. Have fun being tan in that Australian heat. Just watch out for the Suntan lotion bobbycops, they are on patrol.

See what I mean? They might get ya with some SPF 45.
