    Domestic terrorists are pretty lame

HYATTSVILLE, Md. - Prince George's County authorities are investigating an explosion in a parking garage.
County fire department spokesman Maj. Tyrone Forby says an initial call came in Tuesday afternoon about a vehicle fire in a garage at 3300 East-West Highway in Hyattsville. Forby says crews arrived and found no fire, but suspicious debris and other objects around a car.
He says bomb squad and hazardous material teams are trying to determine what exploded. He says bomb dogs are sweeping the building, which is comprised of a three-floor garage, a level of businesses and then six floors of residential units.
No one was injured. Forby says county and federal authorities are on the scene. He says they are reviewing surveillance video from the garage and nearby area to develop a person of interest.

Kershaw, I know they were out there for the chemicals, but I wonder what team was out there.

oh, lol. see i actually heard that there were "some chemicals" out there. but the news was not very specific.

all i know for sure is that in the end, it was a lot of fail on the terrorists part. good response by the local government. who would have guessed a car bomb here? i mean.. really.. its not quite suburbia, but its not exactly the middle of a city here...

That failed bombing looks more like a failed junior Hells or Mafia job. Kinda like retaliation.

Bored teenagers... disgruntled ex/co-worker... looney radicalist... there are plenty of unglorious and highly likely reasons for a poorly executed car bomb. I wouldn't even classify this as terrorism.

So apparently the dude was a HVAC tech, had acetylene and propane in his trunk, smelled it leaking, aired out the car, when he thought it was aired out, he went to start his car, and the car blew up. he took the empty blown up cans and threw them in a dumpster and took a cab to one of his family members house
