And could you point out to us where exactly the Judicial system is efficient?

Bingo. The cost to actually execute the person probably isn't much in the scheme of things. But all the court and lawyer fees associated with getting to that point are so expensive. The inmates usually can't afford attorneys so we provide them, and they usually sit on death row for years with multiple appeals.

2 previous DUIs and all he will get is felony DUI

It's better to let ten guilty men go free then execute one innocent man. Our justice system is far from perfect and there have been many cases of men being cleared of a crime AFTER being executed. I don't disagree with executing violent criminals in principle, but there is simply no way to prove with 100% certainty that someone is guilty of a crime. For this reason, the death penalty should be abolished.

^ Yeah, we should let them all live on a Incarceration Island instead.

Exactly, the guy on death row can appeal as many times as he wants (I think, correct me if I'm wrong on that) and that is what costs tax payers and the state so much money.

a drunk 24 year old with 2 previous DUI's hit my dad doing 70 head on in a no passing zone, at a split in the road where there is a curve....

how is he not 100% guilty again?

believe me this guy was definitely guilty and he got what he deserved. I don't think there is no doubt in anybodies mind that he was guilty. The jury took about 5 minutes in deliberation to determine that he was guilty.
