Do not buy from this dealership!

hey all, i live in wausau WI and i bought my 325ix from this dealership in schofield wisconsin called CAR CONNECTION. now here is a post i had on craigslist that had got flagged and deleted by them because of them not wanting a bad rep...here is there site http://www.carconnectionwi.com/ tell all your friends and family to never go here!

Whatever you do, never ever....EVER! buy a car from car connection off of grand ave in schofield. They are a bunch of shady mother fuckers and they sell cars that are unsafe and they sell cars that have problems that they do not disclose on the window sticker. By law they have to have these things on the window sticker and even if they have something on there as far as a problem, they sneek their way around it by wording it different.

WARNING! this rant is about to get very lengthy....read only if you have the time! :P

I have just bought a car from them not even 3 weeks ago and i already have problems. I bought a 1991 bmw 325ix from these guys. at first everything seemed ok when i test drove it and when i looked at the window sticker to see that everything was checked off as legal. ok fine. i really liked this car and as far as i could tell it was the best car i had found around town in my price range that wasnt beat to hell and ran decent and whatnot....as far as i knew! i will get to that part in a minute...

anyways...so i procede to buy this car the next day and right away i could tell that this guy was really eager to get rid of this thing goin off about how it was such a great car and how im never going to find another one like it and blah blah blah. well like i had stated in the beginning, it has been about 3 weeks now and the car seems to be running just fine but heres where i get to the explaining part...first off the other day while i was underneath the car doing exhaust work i noticed that my 2 rear tires had wires showing on the inside of the tires...and i know damn well that in the time that i have owned it there is no way in hell that this would happen that fast. another thing i noticed before i even bought the car was that the handle to open the hood from inside the car was broken and they had a wire outside the car for you to pull to get the hood open and i didnt really think anything of this because i have had a car before that had that issue and it wasnt a big deal.

and yet another problem was a couple days ago i got pulled over because my brake lights were staying on. come to find out that my brake light switch is bad and to get them to turn off i have to push up on the peddle a little bit with my foot. Now these are sort of minor things other than the tires. thats pretty major...but what gets me is that on the window sticker...all these things were checked off as LEGAL!!!! the only thing written down as to what was wrong was that the foglights were missing. So after work today i went over there with a good friend of mine that had also bought a car from there and is having major problems as well but i will get to that in a minute. I proceded to talk to these guys and tell them about the tires and i even kept the old ones after i had got new ones put on so that i could show them.

i had to get new tires for fear that they were going to blow out on the highway on me. so i get to talking more and giving them an ear full and jackin them up a bit and they were denying it all and saying that it was my fault and that i bent a control arm by hitting a pot hole and thats what caused the tires to be the way that they were. first off the control arms in the rear were fine and second even if that did happen, it wouldnt ware the tires that fast! So i told them that i better get the money from them that i just payed to get new tires because by law you cannot sell a car with tires in that condition let alone check it off on the window sticker!!! they said the best they could do for me was to get 2 used tires...yes USED tires for the back to replace the bad ones. first off, whos to say that the tires they would have replaced these with would have been any better? and second, if they knew anything about anythign they would know that since the car is all wheel drive that you have to run the exact same tires on all for rims otherwise something will be out of balance and make the awd system's life a living hell by putting extra stress on it from the different rotating speeds of the uneven tires. and i also mentioned the other problems to them today and the guy says...well we can take a look at it for you. and i told them that i didnt want their shady ass fuckin hands on my car ever again. i will not let them touch it. and i basically said fuck you and left.

Now getting back to my friend that had bought a car from them. My best friend had bought a subaru not even a week before i got my car and his car recently just shit out the motor. Compression in all cylinders is low and it burns about a quart or 2 every 1k miles or less. So needless to say this car is toast. So the dealership offers this warrenty which is 3 month 3k miles. ok thats cool but until you read the fine print...theres all this about how they will only cover certian things and if they do cover it they will only cover it if its under $1k. so he goes and talks to these guys and deals with this warrenty company and shows the results of compression tests and everything and they are basically telling him to get fucked. All they have disclosed on the window sticker is puffs blue at start up...at START UP! no other time...if anyone knows anything about subarus, even on a new one that is normal...but his car basically makes a cloud. they flat out lied on the window sticker, AGAIN and lied to the warrenty company saying that it was his fault for this and so he filed a claim with the better business bureu and they had recieved a letter back from the dealer saying that it was none of their fault and they disclosed it on the sticker (which they didnt) and they are trying to tell him that its his fault because of aftermarket parts that were on the car even though those said parts were on the car when he bought it. They then proceed in this letter to bring personal info into the matter, things that my friend had told them in confidence about the car and the local subaru dealer and what kind of relationship that he has with them. Now if i am right they cannot do that. and what really grinds both of our gears is that they said that he test drove the car on 2 seperate occasions and should have noticed this issue when in reality he had never test drove the car once because they had said that kids were constantly wanting to drive that car and unless he seen the money that he couldnt even drive it. So now he is working with subaru to get it fixed under warrenty and also working with the bbb and trying to get an attourney to work with him on this.

I have now on many occasions heard now after i have bought my car, people i know or heard of through the grape vine telling me that people that have bought cars from there have had major issues including motors blowing up on them and major drivetrain issused arising and issues that were never disclosed on the window sticker.

Long story short, these guys are a bunch of shady mother fuckers and they pull some of the dirtiest shit ive seen ever. They deserve to be put out of business and they have no business having a dealer license!

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS PLACE!

CAR CONNECTION NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN ASAP!

and i had just went there today to pick up the bad tires i left there in a rage yesterday and they had thrown them out! now if i am correct this is personal property and they cant do that

Sorry I didn't read any of this except the car connection part in the beginning. I could have told you that they weren't a reputable business based on their name alone.

You bought a nearly 20 year old car and you're having a bunch of small issues with it? Nooooooooooo

Welcome to e30 ownership! Remember, you don't own an e30, it owns you.

You didn't even look at the tires before you bought it? Sorry, but even most women know to check for that.

Caveat emptor - In other words, you didn't do your homework and failed. It's not rocket science. Sure - they may have off-loaded a lemon on you - doesn't really sound like it. Sounds more like you didn't do your job as a buyer at all.

dont get me wrong..i love my e30 and always will...probly wont ever let it go. runs and drives great :)
but its not really even about me making a mistake or getting money from them anymore or anything like that...im just trying to protect others from making the same mistake of buying from there...after everything that has happened i had decided to take a look at some of the other cars they have on the lot and none of them look to be even remotely nice....all i am out to do now is stop them from hurting people

You should have taken it to a shop to have it checked over before purchase.I manage an independent euro shop and i tell all my customers to do so before they buy (unless new). We dont charge anything to do a basic check over and tell you if its good or give it back. ;)

Yeah, you bought a 20 year old car from a shady Iron Lot dealership. Of course a used car salesman will tell you a bunch of BS to sell the car...its their job. Its your job to do your homework on the car, check it out, and act accordingly.

I'm not defending the dealership, but in all reality, you fucked up..and now you are badmouthing them because you need someone to blame other than yourself for your bad decision.

And learn to use correct grammar and punctuation. That whole rant was on giant long fucking sentence.

i guess at the time i was just impulsive because i have always wanted an e30 and around these parts they are extremely rare...i am only one of 2 people that i know of so far that own one in my city. besides the tires and the little issues...this car is amazing :)

I get so annoyed when I hear this BS - you don't care about other people getting ripped off. That's not why you're doing this - get real. You're doing to to strike back at them. And that's fine - I guess you have the right as a consumer to do that - even though as pointed out by blocke - that it's your own fault.

Learn to accept some responsibility. And don't try to fool us with your "I'm doing it to help others" bull shit.

                          Let me get this right...

You bought a car without totally checking it out. It has issues.

Your buddy bought a car that was burning oil when he bought it, and it has low compression and runs like shit.

I see equal fault here. Maybe they were a little shady, but you and your buddy need to make more informed decisions.

I think it's called natural selection...
