    Lost pet

Any one ever deal with lost pet?

I was an usher at a wedding last night and I took my dachsund over to my father's friends house. Now, he's very attached to the whole family and he decided to run away from my father's friends house. We've done pretty much all we can so far to find him by putting up posters in the area, driving around for a few hours attempting to find him. However we've had no luck so far. He's got his collar on.

He's truly part of the family and its pretty hard knowing he's out there alone. Anybody else deal with something like this?

Yea my dog got out this morning, I just found him about 10 blocks away in someones yard. He's in the garage right now puking up bones and fur. The way he is with cats i think he ate one whole, no BS.

But this has happened before and he's always found his way back. I worry someone will snatch him more than anything. He's a nice looking staff terrier and theres alot of blacks around here.

I hope whoever finds him is decent enough to return him. If he's still loose chances are he'll sniff his way home.

He's too far to sniff his way home, father's friends house is roughly 10 miles away. I sure hope somebody is decent enough to return him. I just hope he hasn't been hit by a car or something. The whole family is down in the dumps right now.

You've tried animal control and normal shelters correct? Hope you find him. Ex took my pet.

dude! i feel you completly. 2 weeks ago my german shepard ran off, and he's truley a part of my family. We searched and searched back through the woods behind my house, and tracked him for a good mile or so then lost track. I went door to door for miles and told the people what he looked liked and his collar color, etc etc. Gave my number out to those poeple as well, 3 days later, 5 days being gone total someone called and had him.

Sometimes you get lucky and find them, sometimes not. Just do your best to find him, and thats all you can do.

Hope you find him. I have the funkiest looking dog in the world but he is my boy. My family would be devastated if something happened to him. Good luck.
