a.) you can't change the listing after selling it. Maybe the second auction he re-worded it cause of your reaction - but there is no bait and switch allowed. The web site just doesn't allow for it.

b.) This is one of the better ebay auctions. He has pictures of every wheel face, side shots, inside the wheel. I can clearly see the clear coat pealing on one of the pictures. And this is the auction you bid on. I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but I don't think the seller is in the wrong here at all. I think you are. How could you NOT see the condition of the wheels. On top of that, you wasted the sellers time, and bids. Now he has to wait for them to sell again. Money delayed in getting to you, is money lost.

The fact you didn't pay him AND left negative feedback - It's one of the things that's wrong with ebay. You've fucked him in the ass, and then suckered punched him too. And now you want us to attack him? Wow - I think you need to step off and reconsider. Just my 2 cents.

His original ad is very misleading, but to me the pics speak for themselves- those wheels are NOT mint at all. It really pisses me off too that the seller lists condition as "NEW", but then says they were on his car for 65k miles, and at least one of the pics clearly shows curb rash or finish damage around the rim.

If I was a bidder on the wheels, I would have just told him that they were not as he described, and unless he could prove otherwise I would ask him to cancel the sale- he would get his fees back and could relist no problem. Yeah, it's a small PITA for the seller, but he's asking for trouble with his less than honest description.


FWIW- I've been buying/selling on Fleabay since 1998. Not much in the last couple of years though, mostly due to fees and other policy BS.

Ok from the top. I bid on a set of wheels for the wifes car on ebay. Listed as mint. Pix look a little less than mint. I sent an email. Seller did not respond. I win the wheels. Before I pay i ask again you say they are mint. No rash peeling ext. Now the story changes. they are peeling and are not mint. So I say I don't want them. They are not MINT. end of story.
Seller calls my work spiting the F bomb. I think he deserves a little R3V payback. He has re-listed the wheel and changed the description.

He also listed Me by name in his ad as a dead beat bidder. I will get eBay to remove it, as this is all very well documented with emails.
