Hotmail accounts are being hacked left and right, Three friends of mone have had their accounts hacked and now I just get spam mail from them.

Paypal/Ebay need to strength their encryption methods.

I was scammed via PayPal as well.

1. I notice my bank account is short $2800
2. I call BofA to inquire, they tell me it was a PP transaction
3. I tell them I didn't authorize the transaction
4. They tell me they do not offer provisional credit and that I am responsible for any NSFs that arise from this
5. I spent 4 hours on the phone with BofA
6. I call PP and file a complaint
7. PP notifies me that the MacBook Pro the perp bought was delivered to an address "in my neighborhood" but wont tell me anything else
8. I file a police report
9. Local PD asks for more info from PP
10. PP wont disclose an info without a subpoena
11. Local PD does not have the resources to play ball with PP
12. Perp gets away with stealing a laptop
13. Seller is out $2800
14. It takes BofA 72 hours to put back the money in my account

Lessons:

• Bank with an institution that offers provisional credit
• PayPal protects thiefs
• Use a CC for any online transactions because the fraud protection and support is superior to a check card

Paypal is fucked, I have heard way to many horror stories. I got so lucky when I bought my engine using PP, coulda been out the money easy. My dumbass sent the money as a gift so I had no protection whatsoever and when the seller started taking his sweet ass time to ship it and I went to file a complaint paypal played dumb with me and wouldn't offer any assistance whatsoever, that was when I found out that I had sent it as a gift without realizing what I was doing.

FUCK PAYPAL!
