          meh
          This.

What bugs me the most is how many STi's are on the road. I RARELY see a WRX that isn't an STi. IMO, a performance version of a car shouldn't be the model everyone chooses. It should be the balls to the walls version that only a rare following even want, not the model everyone gets. And they just aren't.

          Subarus are lame.

            Double your meds.

Why is it a fail if people are smart about the car they buy? You'd be an idiot if you bought a WRX instead of an STi - the STi gets WAY more gear than the extra dollars on the list price suggests. And even then, how many people do you see getting around in a Spec C? Yes, there are harder, faster cars on top of the basic STi in the line-up.

If you're trolling, try harder. If you're not, I feel sorry for whoever has to clean the windows after you've finished licking them.

True, and I agree although we never got the spec C, so that becomes an issue. Anyway everything after GC is meh.

All the STIs at my local dealership are close to 40k. The new 2011 WRX with the STI widebody kit on it and upgraded suspension comes out to 26k. It's definitely more bang for the buck than the STI, I'm surprised I don't see more of them.

The new Subaru WRX is faster than the STI model which is a God damned shame.

But still, I'd drive a new Subaru WRX with the widebody kit and upgraded suspension for 26k!

                            <---- Massive Subaru nut here.

Here in CO there are a shitton of WRXs and STis and EVOs. I've got an old Legacy that I'm slowly saving the money up for a turbo/twin screw H6 from the newer 05+ Legacy 3.0R (Iain, your old PM kept bothering me, now I can't get the idea out of my head).

Many modern Subarus are boring. Many modern BMWs are boring.

Old school cars from both makes are waaaaay better and more fun.

All due to gearing. The STi has far better gearing for a racetrack, but the WRX gearing is better to 60mph. The STi needs 3rd for 60, the WRX doesn't. The STi has a more usable 2nd gear around race tracks though, and 3rd pulls hard. The WRX.....not so much. Tradeoffs.

                              Fun fact.
