I'll add my two cents, or maybe just a penny. If it were actually funny, that would be one thing but, because it isn't, all you have left is lame car reviews and dumb races. It would help if the guys could drive. Tanner can drift but the other two look like the've never been on a skid pad. Beaten by a blind guy?? Come on! BTW Tanner, kicking the tail out is good for the camera but there is a reason you don't see the real racers doing it.
What was with that comment about Brits lying because the speedometer reads higher than the top speed of the car? Who wrote this stuff.

Tanner is a great driver, certainly much better than I will ever be. I just have a thing about drifting. Looking at your photo we will not agree on the drifting thing, I'm just more of a road race/formula one guy. Don't take it the wrong way. I think my point was more that Tanner (while I don't care for him much) does have a great driving background. I think it's one of the things the UK version doesn't have. The other two are like hammond and cpt. slow. Not necessarily great drivers. Although, ferrara needs to at least be able to do a freaking burnout...

tanner was clearly helping and pulled the brake for the blin dude at the right time it looked like to me, looked like semi-staged bullshit and I'm guessing it took a 100 shots to get, just like everything else in the entire show that looks so chopped cut and hobbled back together it barely manages to flow at all between commercial breaks and its shorter run time than the OG top gear...
They ripped off the unimportant stuff like the stig and theme song and skits, and threw some jackasses int he mix who don't mingle well together yet, and who knows if they'll get better.
They should have americanized the show all together and just used topgear as a skeletal structure, rather than throwing tracing paper over the same shit fans have already seen and hoping to pick up enough american viewers who don't watch the real top gear to keep ratings floating, because obviously anyone who watched the real top gear has higher expectations. The hosts are all too young in my opinion, you need older, funnier, semi-car enthusiast men to host the show and 1 boy racer. That's why top gear works, the hosts have different opinions. 1 old crazy guy, 1 old timid guy, and one boy racer = 3 totally different view points.
Top gear us: 1 retarded guy, 1 fat guy, and 1 douche-waffleswaffleswaffleswaffles, all with the same although slightly altered atypical americnized views of everything. They have no genuine arguements or disagreements or differences int heir opinions and views. Like the lambo test, any of them could have been driving any one of them and behaved the same, and never really sold us on them being different. It's not about faster or quicker, it's about the DIFFERENCES. And selling one another on why the other hosts car is better.
We shall see how the used car challenge goes, if these guys have a chance at showing wether they have actual personalities, or they are just scripted douchebags who copy-pasted original top gear, a used car challenge is where we'll see it. I predict episode 3 will make or break TGUS for top gear fans.Comment

It wouldn't matter that they can't drive if it were a comedy show but without the comedy, it's a car show without car guys (excluding Tanner). I mean, we teach skid pad to 18 year old kids in Street Survival. I had a girl in a Honda minivan out drive those two.
Anyway, I do hope they get it together. Top Gear BBC is the only show I watch faithfully.

woah woah woah.... the stig is SUPER important.
And i agree, well see how 3 goes... So far its a definitely underwelming, although not as bad as i expected. For comparisons sake, i'd recommend everyone go watch the first few episodes of top gear UK. Arguably better than US, but certainly not what they are today. The chemistry has to develop (if it will)
