My neighbor kindly asked that I stop watching Top Gear America because my profane yelling at the TV when it's on makes his dog pee.
That show is horrible and needs to end. The hosts are less entertaining than QVC, they never offer any heartfelt criticism, just canned praise. Imagine what Clarkson would say about the CRZ, it bet it would be a lot different than what the fat guy said! There is no journalism and the driving stunts are ruined by a lack of character on the part of the hosts.
I hate Tanner! He sucks!!!!JOY IS AN E30...

Do not like.
I'd rather watch season 8 reruns of the Brit version. No matter what you say about 'oh its still in its infancy, itll get better, remember the british version?', it just feels false.
And you can't get away with some of the shit Clarkson, Hammond, and May do and say on American TV.. which totally plays a part in an episode of TopGear transcending the 'car-guy' tv stunt and becoming a well rounded hour of entertainment.Comment

When Top Gear US comes on, I get my computer and watch Top Gear UK. Top Gear US is complete rubbish! the hosts are made of cheap plastic and it feels like the show is going to rattle itself to pieces!1974.5 Jensen Healey : 2003 330i/5Comment

I think someone else mentioned it before but as someone who never really got into the Top Gear UK, the Top Gear US version isn't too bad. A lot of people seem to dislike or hate Tanner but to me he seems to be the only reason why I watch it (if i remember on Sundays). The guy that annoys me the most is the fatass. However I did watch a few episodes of the UK Top Gear last week when there was some sort of marathon going on on tv and I agree the UK version is a lot better in all aspects.Comment

The last episode was actually quite good for US television standards. If it weren't for the required US cable commercials then they would have had time to fit in a score sheet and give some more information. I laughed at the Hilux being the backup, I would rather have that truck than either of the 3 they bought.Comment

again, that was a great challenge. it was fun to see these things get all beat up and still take it...going 30 mph off road, over rocks and bumps...badassComment

It's making progress in the right direction. It could have been way more interesting if one of the guys had picked a Hilux or a Scout, or a Land Rover.Comment
