wow. could not even make it threw the hole episode. super shity. scripted, no energy, no real interaction between the cast, and i feel like they are going to copy everything they have already done in briton. filling cars with water? really? i think i have seen that some where before.

I thought it wasn't too bad. the fat guy and foust had pretty good chemistry in my opinion. ferrera was mostly akward, and the interview was terrible.
It was mostly what i expected to see, dumb americans doing dumb shit in cars, which it was. TG bbc will never be replaced though.

OK DLing it now.
To survive between original TG episodes, I used to watch TG Australia. It was so awful, I couldn't watch it anymore.
And as others said it before, the orig TG wasn't any special either in the beginning.

So as long as this one won't hurt as much as TG Australia did, I think we'll be alright.

However the only host I can imagine being good is Adam Carolla. They need to put him on the show. That reminds me, has the first pilot with him leaked yet?

Well I'm not through the whole episode yet, but, I can tell you that the hosts are very annoying and I do not like them. At all. Show wasn't very interesting TBH

big surprise, everyone is jumping on the hating top gear USA bandwagon. Of course it won't be as good as TGUK right off the bat! It has alot of kinks to work out, but I think that it has alot of potential.

Just like no Beatles cover band will ever actually be as good as the Beatles, TGUSA will never be as good as Top Gear simply by definition.

I watched the show, and it was pretty much as I thought it would be. IE lukewarm and not clever or original.

Oh another thing, 44 mins?! Why? Make it an hour long, replace the cinematographer, put Adam Carolla in there, come up with original stuff, and it'll be awesome.

This + the fact that Ryan Dunn is a BMW guy made me pick him instead of Knoxville. Johnny is too mainstream, Ryan Dunn jackassless would be clutch.
