The countdown idea is already used overseas. Great for preparing to launch a manual. Too much responsibility for the states, ma government will not allow.Comment

Just look at the crosswalk signals or the perpendicular light if you can see it...

I used to live in Israel, their street lights do this as well.

I've though of something similar to this, Just a LED number display next to each light displaying the time left until the next light change. However, a lot of lights aren't timed, they are traffic sensing, so this would be more difficult to integrate.
Can you imagine Americans trying to learn this? People sitting at a red light... "Oh, it turned yellow, hammer time!" ...Then crash into traffic that was speeding through a yellow light in the other direction.
We are far too stupid for anything more then what we have now. I think even the yellow throws most of our people for a loop.Comment

Yeah, I agree. I'd be too scared to drive if we had them here. With the red light running problem we have here, people would be jumping the gun if they knew a green was coming. Bad comboOriginally posted by Grueliusand i do not know what bugg brakes are.Comment

yeah I will agree with you. But once you get outta the cities (where everyone is in a huge hurry and *singing voice ITS ALL ABOUT MEEEEEEE) and into middle America from the coasts (where no one can drive in the 1st place) it might go rather smoothly.I've though of something similar to this, Just a LED number display next to each light displaying the time left until the next light change. I do a TON of driving for my job 99% of out here on the east coast ( I FUCKING HATE JESERY I might add) and down towards Philly, and the stupidity I see every other min brings my road rage to a boil. The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public's money. -Alexis de TocquevilleOriginally posted by FusionIf a car is the epitome of freedom, than an electric car is house arrest with your wife titty fucking your next door neighbor.
