Selling a car on eBay... anyone done it?

Does anyone have much experience with selling cars on eBay? I am thinking about listing my Ranger...

Why would you want to deal with the hassle and the fee's.

And if you do sell on ebay prepare to be lowballed moreso than normal.

Fees are not bad at all. I had my Stage 3++ S4 for sale on craigslist, audizine, vwvortex, e46f, bimmerforums, and m3forum......Got about 100 lowball/shitty trade offers over a 6 month period. I finally listed the car on ebay and sold it for my full asking price in less than 2 weeks. If you want the most exposure use Ebay.

i bought my car sight unseen on ebay. I sell all the time too. fees arnt to bad.

Exposure on ebay is what you pay for. If you are really motivated to sell something it will most likely be sold on ebay the fastest.

I sold my project M5 on ebay, the seller was only 50 some miles away so it was very easy for me. he paid in cash, I marked it as "payment sent" and I only got charged for the listing fee :)

hum.... seems like the answers with explanations point to using eBay as a good thing.

I will give it a try.

8 years ago I sold my Notchback on eBay. Two bidders; it turns out one went to my high school and the other worked in the same building as me. What are the odds?

Craigslist can be annoying with all the Nigerians who are interested your "item for sale".

But if you can filter out all the BS, Craigslist is a good first option....it's usually the first place I look for cars, motorcycles, hookers, etc...

I've done it before, multiple times. There is some ambiguity involved and long distance can make it more difficult, but overall nothing has ever gone terribly wrong.
