More fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow. That guy obviously doesn't enjoy the driving experience. FWIW, Grassroots Motorsports did an M3 shootout awhile back, and while the newer E92 came in 1st place, I think almost all the judges said they'd choose the E30 M3 next over the E36 and E46 M3s.

Lol at all this. I know people like that guy IRL. It's the reason why I don't attend or pay my CCA membership any longer and my step dad is our chapter president.

ive seen e30 m3's throw down on e36's so hard on the track its not even funny. guy was beating everyone by at least half a lap and had an s14 in it. not saying it wasnt tuned or had aftermarkets to it, but so did the e36. so this e36e46 dude can screw off. stock to stock, maybe the e36 are faster, but i can pick one of those up for 5 to 6 grand. show me a running decent e30 m3 that costs that much. didnt think so.

I think the M community should shun him for hating on the M community.

My 1985 Honda Accord had better suspension geometry and adjustability than the E30 M3. Was BMW in a rush when they had designed their suspension? Toe is the only thing you can adjust?

Although I don't agree with everything that he said, I certianly see where he's coming from.

For whatever reason, I've noticed that the E30 crowd generally shits all over anything BMW that isn't an E30 or older. I think what he is trying to say is that the E30 M3 isn't god's gift to all of motorsports like some people tend to think it is. It was, and still is a great car, but enough with the ball hanging.

Having said that, I don't see the point of arguing of which M3 is best, they're all different cars, from different eras, and are all fantastic cars in their own right.

It seems like a huge percentage of BMW owners know nothing about the company's racing heritage. It also seems like most of said people drive e36 and later cars. And it ALSO seems like said people are usually ignorant, uppity douche bags.

not going to read the whole thread but will put a few cents in. The E36 is awesome, I have had 4 of them, loved them all. I love my E30. The question is not what is better or best, what is better for you. If you dont like something that is fine, but dont piss in someone's cheerios, it does no good.
