I was always a skiier but learned to snowboard this year and it's a blast! I don't plan on stopping skiing but I'm glad I can do both. Being a beginner again is fun in a way.

The girlfriend got me a used nitro t1 with burton cartel bindings for x-mas. Works great.

I figured I'd share a couple pics from a photo shoot I did a few weeks ago, enjoy.

      2nd favorite from the shoot.

      Favorite.

Doing photos or shooting footage is so much fun, it always gets me psyched to take it to the next level. If you eat shit at least you get some cool evidence.

16 seasons, first slid in 1994 and clocked a little under 700 days in the hills - A pretty relaxed and cruisey sort - even moreso now my knees are fucked.

Riding Gnu Billygoat of around 3 seasons old and carbon team flow binders of an older vintage.

I went boarding yesterday with my GF and a friend, it was 17* with 34mph winds, right in the middle of a huge blizzard. It was fun, but there were drifts forming at the tips of every jump so shit got sketchy real quick. My friend has to go to the doctor because he's pretty sure he cracked some ribs, and based on the fact that I heard the "thump" from 20 yards away I think its a real possibility lol

                Bump for an old thread with a topic that's near to my heart. K2 replaced my WWW I bought last year under warranty, my new one just showed up a couple days ago. I'm excited, but it's going in the closet until next year because the snow sucks. 174" this season fml, our average was 360". Basically, this season sucked. Pic of said new board;

Here's one of me & my dog Gunther riding together, he ran up under the chairlift.

And a quick video of me scaring my g/f in the terrain park.

Epic season up here in the PNW, Lib/Union rider that mostly rides backcountry/slackcountry. It has been bit of a sketchy year for backcountry at times though. Logged numerous days up at Baker, Stevens (hour away) Whistler and 4 days of Powder MTN boarding.

Needless to say, while the rest of the nation was pretty much famine - up here we got the goods. Except December, Baker only got around 10 inches of snow the whole month..

I concur, I've had some really good days up at Stevens this year. Planning on going up to Whistler in May to do some boarding.

Around April I usually give up on the old snowboarding and switch back to skating/longboarding.

Although, for anyone who likes snowboarding and skateboarding I would highly suggest getting a grassrootspowdersurfing.com board.

Just a taste - I got mine this year and tested it on a backcountry tip at Whistler and fell in love, the smallest drops were instantly turned into when I was first starting to snowboard.

Early season riding and times of low snowpack have had a major influence on why and how we surf the pow. This season has been particularly dry in many areas across…

The 2011 La Nina winter was a memorable one, powder days were plentiful but we didn't see the sun shine for months. We all know the trees are where you want…

This season was a huge let down for all I think, canceled my trip out to tahoe because of lack of snow and new england was a joke this year. I was riding a K2 WWW had it for 4 years just picked up a GNU Park Pickle I'm hooked on rocker/banana camber soo buttery...cannot wait for next season, need powder, Jackson hole here I come!

Dude just go to Mt Hood. way more legit.

Pretty good season for me. Did a lot less time hiking this year. Definitely a sketchy season for sure. I was in the exact same place where those 3 skier died at Stevens one day before. Avy was completely different the day before but, it's still a head trip for me. I didn't ride for like a month after that. I think this will be my last season being a full time snowboarder. I'll be buying ski's over the summer. Time to do something new.

Glad to hear the PNW got a better season than us, we had some of the wost avalanche danger I've seen in my 8 years in CO. I guy even died IN BOUNDS at Winter Park in a slide. Scary, to say the least.
