Went in to see what a new setup equivalent to mine would set me back as I bought it on craigslist, $800 for a new Custom X and over $400 for equivalent bindings...looks like I'm riding this for years to come. Perfect board for me as I'm not a park rat, but when I do it's usually just boring straight airs.

Board is a 160 Custom X and bindings are Burton C60's

The first board I got last year, the guy bought it, rode it twice and didn't like it, got it for $50. The second is just an old ex-rental, but it's huge, and it's a great powder board. The bindings are new this year, Forum Shakas. They're the first high-end/brand new bindings I've ever had. My boss bought them for me as a bonus a few months ago for coming through a tough summer, and I got to ride them for the first time today, they're incredible!

I've got an Arbor Del rey with flow bindings. Great board for cruising and the terrain park.
Mt. Ashland will be opening up Thursday so I am hoping to get a day or two of snowboarding next week. Looking like a great season for northern California and Oregon so far.

i'm jealous, it's been between 50 and 70 and rainy here in the mid-west all week, I just want winter to hurry up and get here already.

I have a 2 year old Ride Crush with Malavita bindings, its a really good all-mountain setup. Its great fot the terrain park, decent in the powder and has great handling. I have a pic somewhere on my computer at home

Got a prototype Burton board with c60 EST's for this season. Excited as fack to get some good runs with the new setup.

Hey janderson, have you ridden Cartels (Burton)? I had a pair on my last board and really liked them.

The price and design is similar. The Shakas (according to their description) seem to be a little soft. Whats your input? And are they close to no forward lean? I hated the feeling in my calves at the end of long session with the older cartels I had. (they were pretty stiff too)

Anyone ridden a recent Capita stair-master??? Are they are good as the old ones?

Taken a couple of years ago in Breckenridge, CO. You can hike up another 200 yards or so and if you look on the ridge, you can see two people. Ironically that is exactly where my buddy and I dropped in. Both with haggard park boards ( He had a broken tail, and I had broken bindings. Neither one of us had any edges LOL) It turns out that it was all ice, a 10ft drop and a 60* slope. No way out but down....

I've only gotten to ride one day so far this year, and it was after a nearly 2 foot powder dump. They felt pretty good, but I was also on my giant/heavy powder board, so it was hard to get a good solid feel on them. I have the forward lean adjusted one click forward, and that felt pretty noticeable on the groomers. Once I get them back on my freeride board and get a few decent days in, I'll give you a little more input on what I think of them.

Thank you, much appreciated. And yeah, input from your freeride board would be a better comparison. The Republics look pretty nice too, they are the stiffest forum offers, and it seems like a lot of riders love them.

I'm working with the Winter Park Terrain Park Crew this winter building our parks, it's been fun & extremely strenuous so far. Lots of hard riding with good friends & lots of shoveling snow and moving big heavy things on steep, slippery slopes. We finally got some decent snow over the weekend, about 14", w00t! I haven't snowboarded in over a decade. But, I'm getting back into it. MTU owns their own hill, and access to it is part of my tuition.

So tonight, I picked up a setup. K2 Anagram 155, with K2 Sonic bindings, and K2 Domains. $396 brand new. I think it'll be a good set-up for beginning all over again in my wilted state.

I think I did good. With MTU owning the hill, Next semester I have Snowboarding as a PE class. They don't provide equipment so they should pay for themselves in a little bit.

i have the oldest set up ever hahaha but ive been riding it for a few years and i have never riden anything else.
old lace up 32's
luxory board (even a company anymore??) i received as a hand me down in like 2001 (i was like 9?)lol.
and some burton freestyle bindings.

i really wanna buy a skate banana board....
