I tried them on several different metric hex bolts that were still on the car, and they gripped them good and tight, no slipping. I'm just stoked to have more/new wrenches.
Alright, start spilling it... Christmas 2010!

The only problem I have with those is that because they are made to fit a bunch of different types of fasteners, it doesn't fit any of them perfectly. Which seems like you would be more likely to round off a normal bolt head because the fit isn't so great. On a rusted or mangled bolt though I bet they would work great.

Typically, yes. Most of the force does end up a the tip. But the difference is when the tip is rounded off the 6-sided ones have that entire tightly fitted side to lever against, where 12-points just roll around like a stripped gear.Im now E30less.

I wasn't expecting much but got some good stuff that will go to use, I like giving more than receiving.
Got myself a Subaru Forester XT 5 Speed in early December, most awesome utility vehicle ever.
Received - Nikon SB600 (used to borrow one), Nikon ML-L3 Wireless Remote Control (been needing this for a long time), How I Met Your Mother (Season 5), Other little things
Gave the GF quite an awesome Xmas weekend if I do say so myself. - Across The Universe Blue Ray, Victoria's Secret Awesomeness - I spent too much there but was worth it, most awesome steak dinner I've ever had @ Eddie's House on Xmas Day for dinner. I'd recommend it as a once in awhile joint if you're in AZ or visit. Some tabloid sized blown up prints of things I took pictures of that she liked. Tickets to Jimmy Eat World on New Years.Comment

10 gallon compressor, new running shoes/running stuff, a few hundred bucks, lots of candy/cookies, etc.
it was mostly about my son this year, although we didn't actually buy anything for him - I wrapped up some snacks and baby food just so he could have something to open (which is hilarious when they are small). He has way too many toys already and he got a ton of stuff from the rest of the family anyway. we'll save the money to buy him something during the summer.Comment
