Yeah but they spouted off at the mouth of how great the quality of these new piles were, the cars fucking sun shades will NOT stay up no matter how many times we take it to the dealer to get em fixed. It's been like four times now. Just over all quality is shit, there's maybe a quart of paint on the car, I can flake it off with my finger nail.
Just stay far away from that bs.

I'm bias toward BMW, so I would go with the E46 M3. But a C5 Corvette or a Cadillac CTS-V are great choices. Or the Pontiac G8. The only problem with the G8 is Pontiac doesn't exist anymore. I'm sure GM still makes parts, but I would see that as a problem later on down the road. I could be wrong though. A Porsche Turbo 930, 964, or 993 if you could find a decent one for your price range would be great. As for the Evo/STI battle, I would go with the Evo. It's better on a track stock vs. a stock STI. Also it seems like everyone and their grandma has/wants a STI.sigpicComment

2006 Evo 9 (GSR, SE, MR)...ACD, front helical diff, interior is better than the Evo 8, it won't "push" like all ST"Y"s, the 4G63 is bulletproof, and with some E85 you'll be in the 400hp/400tq range (basic mods of course). Also the bish is WAY easier to work on than any STY.
I put 110K on my Evo 8...first major thing that shit was the transfer case, after 10 track events and daily driving the hell out of it for 5 years.

I work at a BMW service garage, and all we see in there is e46 coming in, including M's. They come in for everything. For example, the expansion tank explodes after around 30k miles.
If you like AWD, I would recommend this:

You think a 30 year old Audi, and a quattro at that, will be more reliable and cheaper to maintain than an e46?
My vote is STi, C5 vette, CTS-V.
(Ive owned a wrx and been in the subaru scene for about five years so i can speak out more for them than the others)
STi
Not as fun as the vette (close) but more fun than cts
Easiest to work on
Most reliable
Cheap, uncomfortable japanese interior
Get rid of the wing and your just another sedan
Best mpgs
Make 400whp/tq with bolt ons
Open source ecu programming, which all tuners use
Vette
Most fun to drive
Dont you think its to small for a daily?
Attracts a lot of attention which gets old when your daily driving it
Gets the young girls panties wet
CTS-V
Nicest and most comfortable interior of the three
Probably more complicated electrical components to go wrong
Gets the cougars panties wet
Why not get a nice a mid 90s honda or toyota for 8k and then put the rest towards your e30 or save it?M42: Because 110 feels like 140 :finger:Comment
