Congrats man. In terms of where to donate, maybe a charity associated with cancer research or that deals with helping cancer patients?

Both are good ideas. I've donated to JoshQ's boys in the past. I missed it this year and forgot all about it until after Christmas.

Either way I'm down for any other suggestions, I already donate to Children's Hospital, The Ronald McDonald House, and the ACS. So I wouldn't mind also donating it to someone in need as well.

      Keep the suggestions coming.

Children's hospital saved my life when I was 14. Great place to be if you are sick.

The Childrens hosp is a great idea. Id actually be down to toss in some money on top of the 700 your putting in. Im sure other people would do the same.

As of Sept. of 2010 it has been 2 years since it was announced that I was in remission and my doctor believes that I am in the clear.

To celebrate this joyous occasion and thank the community I would like to pay it forward and let fellow R3v members decide to where or whom I should donate $700 to as charity (and no your e30 project does not count).
                Congratulations!!!
Last year, I rode my bike 550 miles from San Francisco to Los Angeles to help spread awareness about this pandemic disease we call AIDS/HIV. It was truly a life-changing experience. If you feel this is a worthy cause, please donate a any amount to help me fundraise and help fight this disease and put an end to it. For as long as it exists, we are all affected, including the future of our kids.

                  congrats!!

I'd donate to a stem cell research foundation, that's where a cure for cancer and many other incurable diseases would likely stem from. here's one involved in reproductive/fertility research as well: http://www.bedfordresearch.org/aboutus/aboutus.php

How about keeping it more personal/direct? Finding a needy mom with kids who lost husband in the war. You have been blessed with the ultimate gift of giving life in the form of your own child. Helping a mom who needs help with her own kids would be a great cause.

I know its not a ton but I went ahead and donated to your cause regardless of how R3v votes to donate the celebration money. It takes a lot to go the extra mile(s) to raise money for a good cause and even more to make the effort and ask for donations. I commend you on your effort and good luck reaching your goal.

I like this too, so far nothing I can say I don't like, it really makes me wish I had more to give.

Sgt. Cahir is a Marine from my unit who we lost in Afghanistan last year. His wife was pregnant with twins at the time of his death, their first children, whom he left in a time of our nation's gravest need. He is a true hero who gave the ultimate sacrifice that we might live peaceably and safely in America, and led an absolutely incredible life of service, courage, and honor.

Your money would be going to an extraordinary cause...if you need more details, feel free to PM me.
