Are you thinking studio/photoshoot for this shot? I just hope it's not a show at a venue, nobody likes the photographers that flash the artists, especially close.

Not saying you would, I know you're better than that. Just never ceases to amaze me, most small venues tell you, no flash. But even still every time if it's a somewhat known band, it happens. At the last show I shot someone next to me with a speedlight flashed and blinded me for a few seconds trying to get a shot of the front man, wasn't too happy. Asked him what his largest aperture was, he said 2.8, I said then you shouldn't need that flash!
