yeah stopping it down to f4 is way better but it should be tack sharp at 2.8

here it is (the 2.8) at f4 with 1.4 extender so technically it is wide open, lts really sharp here sharper than the 18mp can handle

Funny that that isn't even wide open. I agree the original isn't the best, but it's not the best control shot. If it's a problem maybe test focus on another body and send the lens in?

my grandpa got the new fuji x-pro 1, that means i get all his canon stuff at like half price! 17-40, 100 macro 2.8, 85 1.8, and some speedlights

I picked up a Canon 60d and a 18-135 lens last week from the Canon Loyalty Program. Love the camera so far, just messing around with it so far. Colors seem to be much more vibrant than my xsi was, idk maybe its just placebo. I'll have to get some decent shots up and post them for you guys.

Haha true, yeah I love it so far. Best part is that I sold my xsi to a friend of mine so now hes loving the xsi as well. Perfect upgrade opportunity.
