Burney Falls, up north, the mountain is Mt Lassen from the north side. It blew up in 1915. This is the area I'm originally from, I lived in Burney from '77-86. I haven't been back up there since '96. It was interesting to see how some things changed, and some things have really remained the same.
Its not a bad trip up there, only about 3.5 hrs from here.

Uh, no. The water is 37 degrees! I did try to fall in a couple times while shooting shots like these.
I was lying on my stomach on a couple rocks trying to get as low and close to the water as I could. I couldn't get any lower and still see through the view finder. I'm really surprised that these shots came out as clear as they did considering the slow shutter speed I was shooting (1/4 sec or so) and the fact that I was doing so hand held.
