Turns out both of my lenses can't focus on the moon for whatever reason. Really made me sad. One more reason to go full blown SLR.

Thanks! Nope, almost straight out of camera. That place is a natural spring. 45 feet deep and 45 degrees year around. It's awesome.

You don't need long exposures w/ the moon if you just want a picture of it. ISO 400 @ 1/100 shutter and Aperture 5.6 should get you a good shot. A 300mm lens gets you framed really well.

Or, these settings work too

Exposure 0.013 sec (1/80)
Aperture f/11.0
Focal Length 300 mm
ISO Speed 100

5toes. Find a bend in the road and do a long exposure with the bend framed nice see how that comes out.
