New idea

how cool would it be if we had something we all could shoot that was the same? like id say take a picture of a wrench and we would all then take a pic of a wrench and compare.

It would give us all something to photograph and you cant have to much to photograph! It would change once or twice a week.

put it on shutter priority. alot of them weren't sharp, it could be an older auto focus system, older IS, motion blur,or just inexperience but i got a couple of good ones

1/500 is the minimum for sports, preferably faster if you have the light.

i started to low around 1/250th and but had better results between 1/320th and 1/650th which automatically opened my aperture down to around f/5.6 which made nicer background blur but thats the max when zoomed for the lens i had so i had to adjust for the clouds moving in and out

and yes manual but not for sports.

What I do for action, Aperture mode, wide open lens, and a high enough iso to take over 1/750 in the darkest images. My camera has a 'sports' mode with constant autofocus but I can't stand it. I focus to where my subject should be and hope for the best.

P.S. my nose isn't broken, it just moves that much when I move my mouth like that.
