It really is, the only thing I regret is not getting it sooner.

I was so close to just getting a d7000 a week ago because I reallllly needed a new body. I had this feeling in my stomach I would never be happy until I went FX and I would regret dropping a grand on something I would just wish I didn't buy. Ended up selling off all my dx stuff (including my beloved 17-55 2.8 and 10.5 fisheye) but it was beyond worth it. I can actually say Im taking higher quality pictures now, which is something I cant stand people saying because its almost never true
