Hate the 924s and base 944 but 951 FTW.

Hard finding one that isn't beat on.

I have always wondered what a larger modern turbo charger (ball bearing) with better management could do on one of these.

944 Turbo only. I wouldn't touch a N/A 944. The turbos do have a bit of lag though, that can be remedied.

              I'll kindly take a 911 any day.

Love the Turbo's and 968's, but unless you want to be doing maintenance ALL THE TIME (and you do your own work to save the extra cash). Pass. Not worth the hassle. I miss mine though...

I'm going to have to throw some hate around in this thread too. I don't dislike how they look, because some of them look fantastic. However, I don't consider anything with an engine in the front a real Porsche.

My buddy had an n/a one last summer and I drove it a few times. It seemed like it had no torque compared to my e30 but once ya got the revs up it moved along alright. He has an e36 m3 and an e30 now but he liked the 944 more.

All of the pictures you posted are 951s. You're looking at 9-10k for one that's not a $ pit.

If you're used to E30 maintenance costs just run-away. A clutch kit alone costs $500 and then you have to do the labor. If you're a DIY guy the car is harder to work on/projects take longer than you're used to. If you don't do the work yourself, then get ready to bleed money like you have ebola.

Then you would have to say that about the corvette as well? Not pushing buttons. Both are still badass cars non the less. Weight distribution comes into play with these two cars, they have a great balance front engine and rear trans layout.;)

money pits. Clutch job IIRC exceeds the value of the car in many cases in just parts
