Damn, i would have given the lady a good "WHAT THE FUCK?!"

Glad he seemed to be okay. When im driving and i see a bike i am always extra cautious, i couldnt live with myself if i hit a bike and i was at fault.

Price check on Vagiclean, aisle five. I repeat: price check on Vagiclean, aisle five. That's Vagiclean. We've got a customer down here with a full-on fallopian fungus. I'm baking a loaf of bread and I think it's sourdough.

He probably fucked his back up royaly. it's not his falt at all. If you are always aware of whos where in relation to you then you'll know that you can swerve without hitting someone. I always look behind me when I have to stop quick, once when I was stopes making a left turn in the middle of the road a car was gonna hit me from behind and I saw him and launched my car forward like 15 feet and avoided being hit. Not that the biker could have done that.

I try to do this when I ride, or when the weather is bad in the e30 (usually happens after I hit the brakes hard, in hopes that the other driver notices me). The last thing I need is getting rear ended by a dumbass.

Then again, if they're too busy painting their nails and chatting on the phone to notice me tapping the brakes...

I know it sounds naive but I feel like the right thing for that woman to do is buy the same model/year bike for the guy and probably like a year supply of fresh baked cookies.

I think he did the exact right thing, don't say anything to her and let the camera atop his helmet do all the talking to the insurance companies. It was best that he did not get mad or even say that he was okay to the lady.

WOW i would rage so hard. she would have nailed the car if she didn't hit the bike. without weather, how does this happen so often? absent-minded people are the worst.

Same here, a friend of my brother was seriously injured not too long ago from a careless [and possibly drunk] driver on the freeway. The SUV ran him off the road onto the shoulder and scraped him between his bike and the barrier wall. He lost 3 fingers as a result(he was even wearing gloves), was in a coma for a few days, and had to undergo major surgery.Worst of all, the person that hit him ran from the scene. I think of that every time I hear or see a bike on the road. I give it as much space as I possibly can..I don't care if it pisses off people behind me.

yeah up until that night I was planning on getting a bike myself...now I'm scared to..the worst part for me was knowing that my brother was only about 30ft in front of his friend when this happened...and it could easily have been him instead or both of them.

HE did check his mirrors when making a sudden stop. so that was spot on, he could of shifted down to get out of the way if he decided.
Ill pray for myself should I ever get my bike back on the road. good thing its not his death on hero cam... that would of been horrible.

I ride almost daily, and I have a GoPro... For a while I used to save "close calls" or drivers failing to yield, but after a while I gave up because there are so many. The best is when you watch the video and see them staring directly at you, while running a red light and cutting you off.

                                wow, that sucks.

as an aside, i'm really tired of seeing riders wearing blue jeans and regular shoes. it's even worse when they stick their girlfriend on the back wearing a skirt and a tank top.
