Well if your an nerd then the sky is the limit but I'm talking about everyone else. Both platforms, unmodified, have advantages and disadvantages. But the big thing with android is you don't have to void your warranty to do most things and there are a few more enterprise options.

Better is always subjective because each person has different needs. I'm really just stating why "better" isn't really going to decide the more popular platform. Right now all anyone else can hope for is to carve a niche. It's a two horse race (well, more like a 10 horse race with 9 running for android because of 3rd party hardware)

I have a program that tracks my training plots it using the gps antannae, have a Bluetooth heart rate monitor it also traxks, and I listen to Pandora streaming as well.... 5 hours after a 4 hour ride with all that running I still have 40% plus battery life.

After my ride Facebook chatted for a couple hours, watched some you tube and read/responded to e-mail.... I would consider that 9 hours of heavy use with 40% remaining.

I received my verizon iphone last week (first iphone i've had)....i'm thinking that i should've went with a droid phone...you can't do shit with the iphone without having to jailbreak the thing...can't even change tones for incoming emails.

My old blackberry curve was more customizable that the iphone...FTL, really.

I'm using a iphone 3gs, don't have a cell phone bill, no service with any carrier, just using the google voice app and some other tweaks to make free calls and texting while on wi-fi, life is simpler.

However, I am interested in the new iphone that's coming out, so I might one of those when the time comes, but still no contract for me :)

Eh, iphone is super easy to use and both of the family bmw's have ipod integration. Can't argue that there are lots of accessories available for the iphone, compared to droid. If I could use the evo 4g on my carrier I would, but it's CDMA only, and not compatible with my deck or the family cars. Kind of a deal breaker, if they could make the droids compatible with iphone accessories they'd have a winner.

This is the biggest thing Apple has going for it right now: accessories. As much as I love my Nexus, it's frustrating that there really are hardly any accessories for it.

Phone speed or network speed? My EVO 4G consistently pulls down 80-85% the same DL speeds as iPhone 4G on the ATT network, using SpeedTest. Hardly makes ATT worth TWICE the price.

That's on Sprint's 3G network.

We don't haz the 4G here yet. When I was in the ATL airport a few months ago, 4G speeds even there were pretty nice.

I love my evo. Add the 3500mah battery and its a tool of destruction. I can abuse it all day everyday

I passed on the big battery because I wasnt really using it enough. Only occasionally would I kill the battery before I got home so I just keep a spare in my luggage. That works out well because the most common times I kill it are when I am traveling and using the phone as entertainment on the plane or in the airport.
