i was this| |close to getting one when I got my new phone a few months ago.
They had just come out and my sales man talked me out of it. Said they were crap. He had gotten one for free and sold it on Ebay. I played around with one they had in the store and it just felt fake. The bottom three numbers were also hard to get at. The number pad is recessed into the phone, with my nails, I couldn't get at those last numbers easily.
I wouldn't do it. As stated, the price has come way down, in just a few short months. It's a sign that I would take...

I have one and I love it. The early ones had software bugs, but they are fine now.
And yes, the price has gone down, but the phone is almost a year old now. Thats normal for cell phones. Price didn't go down because of lack of sales. I see them everywhere around here.
Also keep in mind that the non-funcitoning display phones they have in the stores don't feel as nice as the real ones. Ask to see a real one before you talk shit.Adam Fogg- '88 M3

Motorola is known for quality they have a defect rate of about one in one million or something of that sort.
The razr is the pimpest phone around right now I wanted to get one but went with T mobile instead, it is indeed very thin but its wider then a normal phone that is a trade off you have to be willing to make.
Over all its a HOT phone I would DO IT.

My Brother in Law has one and I played with it for about 10 minutes, in Spanish (my Spanish sucks) and was able to check the Yankee score, and use it's really cool functions in seconds. It was totally intuitive and really felt/looked great.

i have one of those and its good as a phone and not any good for anything else..
the voice quality is second to none and design is excellent.
it doesnt have an expansion slot and the phonebook is coded by a 5 year old because you can only type one alphabet and then scroll down to the person you were looking for. the camera isnt the best by current standards, bluttooth powers up only for 60 seconds in disoverale mode and there is almost nothing when it comes to games / apps that you can get for the phone.
so if you are looking for functionality beyond a phone, razor isnt for you but just as a phone, its brilliant.

A good friend of mine has the V3 Razr through Cingular. He has probably had it 3 or 4 months now. He hasn't had any issues with it whatsoever. I think these phones are cool....definately unique when compared to all the other phones out there.
Just a side note, I have a Motorola V710 (flip style) with Verizon service. Not too long ago I had to send in for an exchange/replacement phone since my original one suddenly crapped out for no apparent reason. Said phone was about 6 months old when it croaked. That issue aside, its been a great phone. Nice features, good sound quality and the camera takes pretty decent pics too.
