Okay so I'm curious if any one works at dmv or aaa.. I got a car from a older guy and he had dementia, Ended up giving me the car. The problem is He had lost the title and any info with his name on it. Im trying to get it registered but its kind of hard because to get the title i need his info... But he didn't even know his own name... Plus AAA wont release any info until i at least have his name. If any one has any suggestions I'd appreciate it.

What did you expect? They can't just allow anyone coming to DMV with a car to transfer ownership without proper documentation.
Does the old man have any friends/family/neighbors that might be able to help you get the info you need????

You need to find the elderly's relative and get a copy of the power of attorney for the relative to sign off on the bill of sale. Then bring both to DMV. You don't need a title, you just need the bill of sale and apply for duplicate title.Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

I didn't mean this as "Steal his SS check". I meant as a means of obtaining his name. The dudes alive, he's eating..buying groceries, means he's got income...means someone knows his name.
