We have an Australian blue heeler and it tracks the shit out of EVERYTHING. And we also have a German Rottie, but he is just a monster guard dog.

get a rescue dog from the pound,

Mutts, mixed breeds tend to be healthier and less problems,
most pure breeds have issues do to breeding,
such as bad hip and shoulders....
I have had both over the last 30 yrs and the mutts are the best...
            they appreciate you more too....

Cats are for girls and or lazy guys...

you need a St. Bernard! I love mine, he is incredibly loyal and east going. He literally follows me everywhere and listens very well. Since that pic was taken he has gained about 45lbs and is now a 9month old weighing 100lbs. He is gonna be a beast.

Yeah, buying a dog or cat when your young and will likely be moving around alot isn't a very wise decision.

almost 9 month Cattle Dog Oscar.

I just suggest finding a dog park or somewhere to socialize/exercise especially if its a puppy. Dogs can be fun, but in order to earn your freedom later they require some work early. Wouldn't trade my buddy for anything.
