    Quit your bitching americans!

Fuel is 2.24/L here. (Premium 95RON) (had to stop using 98RON due to cost) costs over $110 to fill my tank from fuel light.

Or about 3 teaspoons. Yea, I'm totally going to do that to save 1.9 cents..

Don't be an ass, you of all people should know that your leaders are not necessarily who you voted for nor are they who you want to be in power.

Otherwise next time you complain about ANYTHING Obama is doing I'm going to remind you that you brought it upon yourself at the voting booth.

Right. Because as Americans we don't like to pay fuel taxes directly for the fuel we buy. We just fund the Pentagon for our fuel tax. We're patriotic like that.

UMMM NO we pay a shit load in taxes on our fuel, both indirectly and directly. Just that all the rest of the quit bitching ours cost a bizillion dollars per liter here crowd, PAY A SHIT LOAD MORE. Hence my post

and no really the bulk of the taxes paid on fuel are supposed to go for infrastructure spending. But IIRC the study I read a while back the lions share of it is hijacked not for the DoD but for entitlements

edit: Raxe. You really think that the amount of taxation on everything not just fuel in the countries that are afflicted with this happened in 1 term of leadership or 1 cycle of their legislative bodies???? NO its happened over GENERATIONS of them, to get to the point at which they stand today. And by continuing to vote in those that would pass such things over the course of decades is nothing more than getting what you wanted. There for there should be no bitching about it. Dont like you 10 dollar a gallon motor fuel give up all that free govt shit you are paying for with it. While the facts of the matter are simple changing the status quoe is nothing short of impossible as well

I could vote in every election for a hundred years and never see my candidate(s) of choice elected to power. Look at the Libertarians, they've never won and never will win, but I wouldn't tell them to "quit bitching you have all brought it on your selves at the voting booth." They have every right to be upset.

                                TIPS ON PUMPING GAS
I don't know what you guys are paying for gasoline.... but here in California we are paying up to $3.75 to $4.20 per gallon. My line of work is in petroleum for about 31 years now, so here are some tricks to get more of your money's worth for every gallon:

Here at the Kinder Morgan Pipeline where I work in San Jose , CA we deliver about 4 million gallons in a 24-hour period thru the pipeline.. One day is diesel the next day is jet fuel, and gasoline, regular and premium grades. We have 34-storage tanks here with a total capacity of 16,800,000 gallons.

Only buy or fill up your car or truck in the early morning when the ground temperature is still cold. Remember that all service stations have their storage tanks buried below ground. The colder the ground the more dense the gasoline, when it gets warmer gasoline expands, so buying in the afternoon or in the evening....your gallon is not exactly a gallon. In the petroleum business, the specific gravity and the temperature of the gasoline, diesel and jet fuel, ethanol and other petroleum products plays an important role.

A 1-degree rise in temperature is a big deal for this business. But the service stations do not have temperature compensation at the pumps.
This one is tough. You need to bring a cooler along full of ice. Then you put the hose in the cooler, and fill the tank with the nozzle on the slowest setting. that way, the fuel coming out of the nozzle is as dense as possible.

When you're filling up do not squeeze the trigger of the nozzle to a fast mode If you look you will see that the trigger has three (3) stages: low, middle, and high. You should be pumping on low mode, thereby minimizing the vapors that are created while you are pumping. All hoses at the pump have a vapor return. If you are pumping on the fast rate, some of the liquid that goes to your tank becomes vapor. Those vapors are being sucked up and back into the underground storage tank so you're getting less worth for your money.
Simple solution here folks. Pump your gas into a red gas can, that way you can be sure what you put into your tank doesn't have any vapor in it.

One of the most important tips is to fill up when your gas tank is HALF FULL. The reason for this is the more gas you have in your tank the less air occupying its empty space. Gasoline evaporates faster than you can imagine. Gasoline storage tanks have an internal floating roof.. This roof serves as zero clearance between the gas and the atmosphere, so it minimizes the evaporation. Unlike service stations, here where I work, every truck that we load is temperature compensated so that every gallon is actually the exact amount.
I found a simple way around this. Just plug up the vent on your gas tank and use a non-vented cap, and your car's gas tank will do the same thing by collapsing the tank as you use up the fuel. All you have to do is re-inflate it before you fill it up.

Another reminder, if there is a gasoline truck pumping into the storage tanks when you stop to buy gas, DO NOT fill up; most likely the gasoline is being stirred up as the gas is being delivered, and you might pick up some of the dirt that normally settles on the bottom.
Dude is nuts. That's when you get the freshest gas, and since gas and juice drinks are similar, the freshest gas is ALWAYS the best. Duh.

                                WINNING
