So thinking about getting a laptop for school, budget is around 1.5k just need it for school nothing special, maybe play a few games here and there. Thinking of getting an apple laptop?
Thoughts?
and here we go............these threads all then up into a cluster fuck of people fighting about PC and mac, and then one nerd show up late to the party and says ubuntu/mint/wine.
The PC guys will tell you the Mac guys don't really get anything done, and the Mac guys will want to show off how much they spent on their laptop.
/end thread.

I think macs are to much for what they do, but PCs seem to run into problems oftem. I hate Dells and HPs are decent at best. favorite laptop I ever owned was an acer, had it 5 years, upgraded the ram and it never slowed down.
I work at an Apple Store, so I'm a little biased, but I think for what 90% of what people do with computer (check email, Facebook, make Word docs, look at porn, check R3V) is totally covered.
For the <10% of the population who are coding their own scripts for looking at porn, checking R3V, etc, then you can install Windows 7 through BootCamp.
The new 15" MacBook Pro specs are out of control. If you can spend the money, get a base model, or even midrange 15".
