I think you might have issues with the heat from a 55 watt with the plastic lenses though.

Geroge has a thread somewhere relating to the bulb colour issues as they only make 4 or 5 actual colours and relable them to fit what they advertise.
I hate that it's such a gamble. I want like OEM, daylight, white HID's no blue bullshit. That's why I bumped it up to 5000 from the 4500 option, because I read somewhere that 55W ballasts will effectively bump everything down a notch because of the higher output. I.E 4500 becomes more yellow, 6000 becomes more white, etc.

That is exactly what I wanted. I figured with the 6000 and being 55 watt it would be WHITE, but when I plugged them in, they were white/ blue. They have mellowed over time (I think I have become used to it somewhat over time too). I thought about ordering the 5k bulbs and swapping them, but you are most of the way to a complete set by the time you buy 2 bulbs. I will get around to it at some point, and just have spare parts.

I also remembered that the DJ auto headlight assemblies are glass lensed, not plastic like the US OEM ones, I think the only plastic on it is at the back. I think the 55W should be okay!

You can pick up in Huntington Beach, or San Diego for free...and I'll be in Manhattan Beach which is close to huntington in like 3 weeks, so maybe I'll just do that! I'll phone them tomorrow and confirm that this is okay. If it's not though I'll shoot you a PM. How much do you think you could ship to Canada for? The box will be probably the size of two headlight assemblies for an E36 plus a little bit. My guess is like 14"x24"x12" or something like that?
I was gonna tell you about pickup too, I work like a mile away from these guys so let me know if you want me to go grab them and then send it to you.

Have you ever picked stuff up there before? What's the process? Just call and say when you're gonna pick them up? Or?

55W is just not worth it IMO unless you're doing a lot of offroad night time driving. I've been nothing but impressed with my 35W 4.5k lights, it's exactly how BMW would have done it if they had HID's back then. The ricer blue aircraft landing light look is tacky and irritating to other drivers.

Are you sure you still want to get these? They might be going or out of business soon.

So instead of selling shitty products, they are gonna stay with HID's. Sounds like a good plan to me.

sounds like they will split, and a split will sell the HIDs. not DDM anymore.

I wonder how much notice you need to give them?
