Yea I my list is that and utilities.

I know its late in life, but I just came up with a rock solid budget for myself. I know down to the penny what I have to spend.

I drive a 4 cylinder Ford Contour, not exactly a high risk vehicle. If only they knew how I drive. No tickets, and I'm 21. When I was younger I paid 110 a month for the same car.

When I am laid off they are about 1800-2k

when I am out working they push up to 3.5-5k a month

I should really cut down on the restaurants and vodka.

non-volunteered seperation from the fam right now, so i'm bleeding money

                        Me:
                        Rent $490
                        Food $500
                        Gas $ 300
                        car payment $225
                        Insurance $325 (all)
                        Phone $120 (all)
                        Internet? $15

                        Fam:

                        Rent $950
                        Food $500
                        Gas $250
                        Car payment $275
                        Insurance $0
                        Phone$ 0
                        Internet? $45

                        $3995

The DOD gives $250 a month for family separation. By my estimates, that covers about 1/3 the double expenses we are paying out every month.

My wife and son are up in colorado at her new duty assignment. I'm in training for a new career field down here in texas. I'll meet up with them when I finish at the end of July.

We weren't living paycheck to paycheck before, and won't after I get up there, but running two households full time, it's tight! I just can't believe two of my classmates that have wives that stay at home with the kids!

Oh yeah, forgot to add in child care! So it's $4495 a month

That looks cool! right now, our budget is a lame email that my wife and I keep copy/pasting back and forth. This would be a good way for us to see the big picture even while a few states apart.

But there is no such thing as a free lunch. How does mint.com make it's money if the service is free to the user? where is the catch?
