just checked out that Mint site. Uhhhh I think I will stick with my quick books.

Just seems to have a slight smell of fish to me, as anything that is wanting me to up load all of my personal financial data and is free, with no obvious signs of advertising. Money is coming from somewhere to keep and develop and pay for the servers and security and operating costs, seems like a data mine for someone to me

hahaha, Mint.com is owned by Intuit, the same company that makes Quickbooks! It's actually considered to be one of the best financial planning software sites on the web. I've used it for a few years without any issues whatsoever.

They actually do have advertising. It comes in the form of their "Savings Recommendations" found in the UI after you sign up. Banks and Credit Unions pay to be listed as a recommendation.

I hope nothing happens because I am currently using mint. I was kind of skeptical about it at first too but after researching online, it seemed safe so I finally decided to join. I've been using it for a while now and nothing bad have happened so far (*knock on wood*). So far I like it a lot. It separates and keep track of all my spending (food, movies, drinks, dining, etc).
