I fucking hate my job.
Here are the features:
Bad hours - (sometimes I work 80+ per week, sometimes I work 2)
Underpaid - I get paid half what the other people that I work with get paid.
Work in a stressful, semi hostile (at times) environment.
Have to dress like shit, cause I work on nasty, dirty machines.
Good features include:
Flexible with school schedule
Can machine, sandblast, or paint whatever I need to
Cliff note: I work for our family business and will continue doing so until I either die, or graduate college.sigpicComment

Dislike my current job as an afternoon shift maintenance team lead in a factory. I like the industry, my job is easy going most of the time. The tradeoff is being stuck on a permanent monday-friday no social life schedule, and its a physically demanding job on the days it calls for it. I'm finishing up my industrial mechanics ticket thi year and going directly into manufacturing engineering, I don't want to be a skilled labourer type position forever, and want my own office one day.1990 332i, 4 door

I'd venture to say I love my job. It doesn't feel like work to me and I like being here. I'm in non clinical management at one of the nation's busiest (I think it's the busiest) level 1 trauma centers. I'm basically responsible for staffing, QA and financial performance. I have about 35 direct reports at any given time. It's quality work and I see some bizarre stuff. I'm hoping to find a similar job in Portland, OR so I can love my job and my state/city."We praise or find fault, depending on which of the two provides more opportunity for our powers of judgement to shine."Comment

Currently working as a CNC machinist, and will be working at Chrysler doing performance engine management work. Dunno how the Chrysler gig will go yet, but seeing as I'm a sophmore in college, i'm pretty happy about it. It's really nice having a job that is both challenging and interesting, and where I never look at the clock and count down the minutes til I get off, hah.Comment

Dont know if you can call it a job but i enjoy it. I part cars lol, make enough to stay home an be here when my son comes in from school. plus help other people keep their cars on the road.Comment

was a auto mechanic for the last 8 or so years, actually just quit this morning. now im going to work as a driver/courier making more money which means more motivation to work on my own project cars.
