Just like Josh said. It isn't for sale. I bought this car to keep it. That's why it is the way it is. Fuck selling an old car. Why would you buy an e30 only to turn around and sell it... Maybe I'm showing my age, but if I bought a car knowing I was going to sell it, it wouldn't be a 20+ year old car that needed tons of work, one I would upgrade parts on and painstakingly spend my weekends fidgiting with and customizing. Then spending countless hours on some BS forum reading about how it's "god's chariot" and how it's the best chassis to modify for autocross/ drifting/ trackdays/ dragracing/ rally. AND also reading about how the M version is the UNICORN, and how swapping motors is either the best thing ever, or total blasphemy....
IMO if you spend at least 5 hours a week searching through this forum, and sifting through the mindless banter, you shouldn't sell your E30 either.
This thread offends me on a personal level.
    I hate you people.
    Love,
    Rich

    this

AND even though I am having the shittiest streak lately I'm pretty sure as soon as I get it running right again, there's no chance in hell I'd sell it, I love driving it too much.

I took it to a car show and didn't register it into the event even though it was free, want to know why? because the mountain roads around the town where the show was were too fun and I just kept leaving and driving it around instead.

Why? So I could start ALL OVER again? Re-do all of the maintenance jobs and modifications I've done since I got it? Like the bumper and rear valance swaps, all of the interior work, and everything else? All the time? No fucking way, not a chance. Then regret it every day since then buy it AGAIN 4 years later? You of all people should understand where I'm coming from.

Some people are content to buy a car, throw a bunch of money, time, and work into it, and then turn around, sell it and buy another to start again on, but not me. I'm an E30 enthusiast through-and-through, but this is MY car.

^ THIS!!! Ive had my E30 for a few months but been around/ wrenched/ driven them for awhile now. Sometimes im workin on it & think... What the hell did i get myself into. I got a perfect running daily driver & im kickin my own ass plus getting heat exhaustion in the Miami Summer heat. When im done i take it for a beater spin... It all comes back. The tight, responsive steering. That sweet exhaust tone of the M20 as it catches the full powerband. ETC. Not to write a story... What I enjoy the most & would DEFINATELY be missed is the look on ricers faces when i spank them with their fart cans when they were just laughing at my 20+ yr old car. THAT MT FRIENDS... IS... PRICELESS. lol

Because I like driving mine, I absolutely have no interest in dealing with selling a vehicle, and I think they are great.

If I ever get in a wreck in one of mine I will get an 01 mcoupe. I would buy one now but they lack of driveway space and the absence of a need for a fifth vehicle between the wife and I keeps me from doing it.

I could see giving one away before I sold one.

It is unique... being a 95 M5 pretty much no one else in NA has one even remotely close to it. And the fact that its a real fun super saloon is a real close second. Maybe have those reversed but whatever...

Because dumping 300% of the cars value in parts back into makes for killer back road excitement.
