    “Porsche…There is no substitute”

A resident near Louisville Kentucky has saved his Porsche 911 from a flood caused by a rapid flowing river. It appears as though the Porsche owner fastened his yellow 964 to an inflatable cushion, and then tied it to his house to save it from being washed away by the flood. The home was in close proximity to the Ohio River which flooded this April. It is unclear whether the 964 is a Porsche America Roadster (250 produced) or a C2 Turbo-look roadster.

That is pretty cool. Sucks to be in that situation though, it's a nice house.

I have a feeling someone will shoot a hole in it before the water goes down.

                        cool but stupid...
first -don't build your mansion in flood plain.
second - if you must break the first rule, couldn't you probably just drive the car to your buddy's house a half mile away who didn't break rule #1? certainly faster the strapping the car to an innertube that had to be strapped to the house...

Actually the guy lives on a cul de sac that is basically an island, the house is elevated so its not going to flood and apparently the main road from the penninsula he lives on flooded before he could evacuate the car.

I know the house, It actually sits on a rise at the mouth of a small inlet where there's a marina. It can be easily seen from the river, and if he moved inland he wouldn't have a view of the river and be walking distance from his boat. ;)

Haha. That's an inflatable air dock for boats. My dad has that exact same one. Unfortunately, it does not have a 911 on it.
